Termite is popularly known us white ant (deemak)like ants bees they live in wasps (colony), termites divide labor among castes consisting of sterile male& female ‘’workers’’ and ‘’soldiers’’all colonies have fertile male called ‘’king’’ and one or more fertile females called ‘’queen’’

Termite mostly feed on carbohydrate termites are among the most successful groups of insects on earth, termites queens have the longest lifespan of 30 to 50 years, queen mostly lays 35000 to 50000 eggs per day which mostly hatching 48 hours and starts working, mostly termites are of two types:

 

1. Subterranean or ground nesting termite which build nests in the soil and live in them

2. Secondly is damp wood termite which lives in wood with no contact with soil

The procedure of termites treatments

*Pre-construction treatment

Stage 1.  Foundation pits

Stage 2. Foundation when

reaches DPC Level

Stage 3. Before construction of temporary (kacha) floor

*post-construction treatment

Stage 1.  The drilling process is done for making floor poison dia of the hole will be(0.5) inches and depth 12 10 18 inches and 6 inches away from walls. Drilling will be made inside and outside the building to develop an outer and inner barrier against future termite entry by injecting 3 to 4 liter of chemical dilution in each hole after that holes will be plugged with matching the color

Stage 2. After floor treatment, woodwork will be treated by making tiny holes in wardrobes and door panels and chemical will be injected into them.

Stage 3. Finally, the spray will be done and the building will be closed for a while
